Nancy Tindell, interior designer at La Z Boy, shared some tips on how to bring your living room to life for 2022.
1. Enhance your space with inviting colors
According to Tindell, Pantone recently announced their 2022 color of the year, Very Peri (hex code: 17-3938). This shade is a warming rich lavender shade. Try to brighten up your living room and move away from gray tones.
2. Keep up with current trends, add something “new”.
Add throws, pillows, rugs and touches of art decor to complete your entire look.
“Add whatever makes you feel good. I think that’s always the best way,” Tindell said.
3. Find signature pieces of furniture that add personality to your space

Showcase your space with coffee tables that can be customized as laptop computer tables, tables with built-in storage, or with your favorite stool.
4. Add the magic number three to a decorative display, designers suggest.
You don’t have to duplicate all of your accessories, Tindell explained. To make a lasting impression with your decorative display (pillows, vases, artwork), stick to the rule by using sets of three.
This grouping technique is eye-catching and visually appealing.
