College Station High School Band & Guard Hosts March-A-Thon Fundraiser

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The College Station High School Band & Color Guard held their annual March-A-Thon fundraiser for the upcoming school year.

Community members arrived at the Tower Point HEB on Saturday morning to see the preform of the College Station High School Band & Color Guard.

College Station High School senior Mackenzie Martin is part of the drumline. She said one thing she’s really looking forward to this year is the Bands for America competition.

“Bands for America is our top priority this year,” said Martin. “With all the people that showed up at the March-A-Thon, I would imagine we’ve raised a lot of money to be used for this competition.”

Martin said that College Station’s community is truly unique when it comes to supporting one another.

“A lot of people came out today. It’s really exciting,” said Martin. “Just to see all the support from the Puma band and the Guard, from our families and even just from the normal community that doesn’t even have anyone in our band.”
