Japanese automaker Yamaha is expected to launch a new version of its YZF-R15S V3 motorcycle in India on April 11th. It will get two new colors, namely Red and Dark Knight.

As for the highlights, the bike will have an aggressive design and will feature a full LED setup for lighting.

It is still powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve engine.

  • The Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 is a good looking vehicle that offers both decent features and performance. The addition of new color options should help the vehicle attract more customers in India.
  • The new version of the two-wheeler should be priced competitively and increase competition in the market. It will compete with Suzuki Gixxer SF.

The motorcycle will have a windshield and alloy wheels

The 2022 Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 will sit on a Deltabox frame and feature a muscular fuel tank, raised seat, raised windshield, side-mounted exhaust and arrowhead-shaped mirrors.

The bike will feature a full LED setup for lighting and a digital instrument panel, and will ride on alloy wheels.

It stores 11 liters of fuel and weighs 142 kg.

It is powered by a 155cc 18hp engine

The 2022 Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder VVA engine that develops maximum power of 18.34 hp at 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 14.1 Nm at 8,500 rpm generated. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

It will get 41mm telescopic front forks

In terms of safety equipment, the new Yamaha YZF-R15S V3 will be equipped with front and rear disc brakes and dual-channel ABS for better handling on the road.

The two-wheeler’s suspension is provided by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a monocross unit at the rear.

2022 Yamaha YZF-R15S V3: Prices

Yamaha will announce the pricing information of its new one YZF-R15S V3 Sport bike in India at upcoming launch event. However, it should carry a premium over the current model, which starts at Rs. 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom).
